Biography
Aubrey Nibert attended the University of Kentucky School of Fine Art. Her emphasis was in painting. Although a fine student, she possesses a remarkable natural gift. Born in 1986, her talent was manifest from childhood.
She is represented by major art galleries across the United States. This is rare for one so young. She was “discovered” by an artist’s agent in 2003. He says, “she is unusually normal for one so gifted”. The demand for her works far exceeds her ability to produce new paintings.
The subject matter Aubrey paints is varied. Her floral are free spirited and elegant – diverse in color and form. It is, however; her figurative work that has recently drawn national attention. There is a very renaissance quality to her figures, yet a contemporary feel. One art authority recently praised her; Aubrey may be the first young artist I’ve seen in thirty years who has true museum quality potential.
