David Guy-Decker has been viewing the world through a camera lens his entire adult life. As a sailor in the U.S. Navy, David has had the opportunity to aim that lens at landscapes around the world. When photographing at home or abroad, he is most often drawn to the poetry of the everyday. David seeks out unexpected beauty – the extraordinary in the ordinary, the lyricism in the ignored, and the elegant in decay. David draws inspiration from his years spent in Baltimore, Maryland, the streets and alleys of which are often featured in his work. He currently lives in Norfolk, Virginia, with his wife, a short-legged dog, and a six-toed cat.
